BU Stats Documentation

BU Stats is a plugin that allows for Statistic posts to be created in a WordPress site and then displayed in various content via shortcode and/or a BU Landing Pages section. The statistic posts are centrally managed in the theme and the same statistic can be displayed in multiple locations. This makes it much easier to edit and manage the content if a statistic needs to be udpated in the future. For example if the ranking of the school or program changes the update can be made in one place instead of finding each page that the statistic is displayed on.

Note: individual Statistic posts are not accessed directly as a post within the site, the statistic must be added to a page or post to display it via shortcode or other means. Admins who are logged in can view an individual Stat post for preview purposes, however for users that are not logged in when they try to visit the URL for a BU Stat post they will be redirected to the site’s homepage. Do NOT link directly to BU Stat posts.
