Sticker Block

The Sticker block should be used for adding visual interest to stories, either through a curated selection of stickers or utilizing Giphy. You can find more detail about customization options below.

A video demonstrating how to add a sticker block to your story. With the sticker block, you have the ability to freely move the sticker and place it anywhere on the page. You can choose from BU Story’s curated sticker library, or enter a URL (e.g., from Giphy).

Block Settings

The Block Settings are visible in the right hand side of the editor and will show up when you click on the Sticker block. If the block settings aren’t visible, click the gear icon in the top right corner, or use the keyboard shortcut SHIFT + CMD + ,

There are a variety of collapsible panels in the settings bar that will allow you to further customize the Sticker block. Expand the section(s) below to learn more about the options each panel provides.

Enter text that describes the image or text in the image. Leave empty if the sticker is purely decorative. Do not add “image of:” or similar label. Learn more about writing Alt Text

Rotation

Rotate the sticker until achieving your desired result. The sticker block supports a full 360° rotation and can be easily restored to the default rotation at any time by clicking the reset button.


Image Width and Height

Easily resize stickers by adjusting the width and height individually in the settings. To lock the aspect ratio and make the sticker scale at a consistent size, click the respective icon in the sticker toolbar. Alternatively, you can drag the handlebars of the sticker to resize the sticker directly, which may be easier.


Opacity

Adjust the sticker’s opacity from a range of 0 (completely transparent) to 100 (not transparent at all).

Text Panel Settings

The Text Panel Settings are visible directly above the selected block in the editor. Replace allows you to replace the sticker with a new selection. Reset will reset the position of the sticker to the top left corner of the page. Lock aspect ratio, when enabled, will maintain the sticker’s original aspect ratio and scale evenly.
