Pre-publishing Checklist

  • Story should be between 10-20 pages
  • Make sure all pages with video have a fallback image added (.jpg, .png, or .gif format)
  • Ensure that the story has a featured image (.jpg, .png, or .gif format) that matches the cover page background
  • If your video has audio, add captions using MyMedia or Vimeo
  • Any content with burned-in text should include a transcript for accessibility

Troubleshooting

If your story isn’t loading on the website, try the following:

Double check the image format.

Make sure all images are using web safe formats like .jpg, .png, or .gif.

Ensure there are no images from MyMedia.

MyMedia images are not supported by BU Stories and will prevent the story from loading. In the editor, these will appear grayed out like a video but remain static, as shown below:
