In the Media

The In the Media post type allows you to feature and link off to news and media about CFA from external sources like Variety, WBUR, or any of BU’s own publications (BU Today, Bostonia, The Brink).

To create an In the Media post:

Select In the Media > Add New
Enter the title of the news story in the title field
Enter the URL of the news story
Select the Publication from the drop down menu
Select Topics that are relevant to the news story
Enter the date of the news story
Enter a description; this should be something very short like, “Dean Harvey was quoted” or “David Snyder was featured”
Add the Featured Image

In the Media posts can be pulled into Landing Pages with the In the Media custom component. You can also choose to make an archive of them using the Filter page template.

Adding Publications And Topics

If you don’t see a Publication in the list you can create a new one by going to In the Media > Publications and adding a new Publication term to the Taxonomy. Same goes for Topics, you can add new a Topic by going to In the Media > Topics and adding a new Topic term to the Taxonomy. After creating those terms, you can select them on the individual In the Media post. These new Taxonomies will allow more flexibility when displaying the In the Media posts on a Filter page.
