Edit the Full Menu
Your Full Menu is built to display 5 main sections of content in the Condensed menu layout option, and more if you choose the default layout. You’ll see the parent page of each section listed, and all immediate child pages of that section that are marked to be displayed in navigation lists. To keep people from having too many items to choose from, we recommend limiting the number of child pages that display in the navigation to 8 per main section.
Editing the full menu
Add or remove items from the full menu by checking/unchecking the “Display in navigation lists” tab on any top-level page of the site. Keep in mind that the full menu is limited to 5 items and will pull in the first five top level pages with this item checked, as determined by the order you select in Pages > Edit Order.
In the default layout, you may have more than five items if necessary.
Troubleshooting the full menu
If an item isn’t showing in the full menu after you click, follow this list to double check that everything is set correctly:
- Display in navigation lists is checked on the page you want to show in the full menu.
- There are only 3 other top level pages set to display in the navigation. If there are more, they will not show. This theme only supports up to 4 sections in the Full Menu view.
- The required settings for this theme are set properly (see below)
- You have not added any custom CSS that may interfere with how the full menu functionality works.
If none of the above fix the problem, submit a helpdesk ticket to IS&T and someone will be in contact with you to look into the problem further.
