Edit the Short Menu
The Short Menu appears next to the full menu button and can display up to three main sections. Pick the most important sections to display here. These sections are also displayed in the Full Menu along with child pages of each section.
Editing the short menu
The Short Menu is controlled by the menu assigned to Utility Navigation. This menu isn’t set up by default since the default navigation layout doesn’t need it. If you want to use the condensed navigation layout, it’s pretty easy to create.
- Go to Appearance > Menus and click the blue “Create a new menu” link next to the dropdown in the Edit Menus pane. Name the menu something you’ll remember, like “Condensed Menu”.
- Add up to three main section items. These will always display in the navigation bar.
- Under Menu Settings, check the Utility Navigation box.
You can always come back to Appearance > Menus to edit this menu again later.
