There are two possible types of Entry Metaboxes<\/strong> that can be added to an Application Sidebar: a Local, <\/strong>or Primary<\/strong>, metabox populated with field entry data from the current Primary Application Form; or, a Supporting<\/strong> Form Metabox populated with field entry data from a Supporting Form.<\/p>\n To create a Local Entry Metabox simply enter the metabox title in the available field(s) and save.<\/p>\n To create a Supporting Form Metabox requires two steps: Select the Supporting Form from the available menu and enter the Foreign Key Field ID from the attached Supporting Form. All existing Supporting Forms for all Primary Program Applications currently have a field labeled orig_application_id;<\/em> the\u00a0Field ID<\/em> for this orig_application_id\u00a0<\/em>is the ID that needs to be save with the Attached Supporting Form menu selection.<\/p>\n Once the metaboxes are created on the ST App. Settings page you can begin to populate them. Go to the Form Edit screen of the form containing the field data you need. Click on the field you want to add and on the right side of the page open the Advanced tab of the Field Settings.<\/p>\n If there are any Local Metaboxes set up for the current form, they will be listed in a drop down menu. A given field can only be added to one Local Metabox; a given field can only be added to one Supporting Form Metabox; a given field can be added to one Local Metabox and <\/em>one Supporting Form Metabox at the same time but only one of each.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n application entry sidebars consist of a set of custom metaboxes created for each program in the ST App. Settings<\/strong>. The ST App. Settings tab is located under the Form Settings<\/strong> menu of that program’s primary application form. Since the Summer Term gets a new website each year these sidebars will also need to be re-created each year, The current standard list of metaboxes for each program sidebar is outlined on the Standard Summer Term Program Entry Sidebars<\/a> page.<\/p>\n Most metaboxes consist of references to fields in the form\/application being viewed but some contain references to supporting forms such as Supplemental Materials Uploads or Recommendation forms. In those case use the Attach Another Form menu.<\/p>\n For example, the Status and Decision<\/em> metabox on the AIM<\/em> application refers to fields in the AIM<\/em> program application form. To create this metabox simply enter the metabox title, in this case\u00a0Status and Decisions<\/em>, and click the Update button. This adds the metabox to the sidebr of the\u00a0 AIM<\/em> application entries. Populating the metabox with the proper fields is done under the Advanced<\/em> tab of the Field\u00a0Settings<\/em> for the field you want to include. So, to add the BU ID field and the BU ID updated date field to the metabox click on the BU ID field and you’ll see (under the Advanced<\/em> tab) the option to add the field to any of the metaboxes you’ve created; in the case the\u00a0Status and Decisions<\/em> metabox. To add the BU ID update date field enter the ID of that field in space provided and Save the changes.
